Audi is developing a performance-focused version of its new Q6 e-tron and Auto Express caught it testing the road. It could adopt Audi’s famed RS badge, becoming the first pure-electric Audi SUV to do so and only the second RS EV from the brand, following the RS e-tron GT.
This Audi RS Q6 test vehicle still wears the same body-hugging camo wrap seen in previous Audi Q6 spy photos. At a glance, it looks no different to previous spy photos. Previous sightings saw prototypes with black wheels, but the big brakes with red calipers are a dead giveaway that this is something more. The footprint of the tyres also points to more power, and the RS model will have a more aggressive front fascia with prominent corner vents. Those vents are clearly visible in the photos below.
We’ve seen the Q6 e-tron testing in both coupe and SUV form although the RS version has only been spotted in the SUV bodystyle so far. Given the popularity of Audi’s coupe-SUVs we should see the RS Q6 e-tron available with a sloping roofline as well.
